Hosting add-on
Be understood by search engines and AI.
People ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, and voice assistants questions that used to go to Google, and plenty of those answers never involve clicking a link. Smart Schema publishes the plain facts about your business (what you do, where you work, your hours, how to reach you) in the format those systems read, and keeps them the same everywhere, so they describe you correctly.
Your website is read by people, and machines read it too
Why it matters
Machines read your website differently.
They do not skim your design. They look for structured, consistent facts about who you are, what you do, and where you do it.
Answers without clicks
AI assistants increasingly answer questions directly, drawing on whatever they can find about you. Clear, structured information gives them fewer chances to misunderstand who you are and what you do.
Structure beats prose
Schema markup states your services, location, hours, and contact details as data, not as sentences a machine has to interpret.
Same facts everywhere
When your hours on Google say one thing and your website says another, systems either ignore both or guess. One accurate version, kept up to date, fixes that.
What's included
What the system actually does.
It runs on the sites we host, as part of the same BrightFrame toolkit that handles your analytics and site tools.
01
Site-wide business schema
A clean, machine-readable description of your business: who you are, what you offer, where you serve, your hours, contact details, and social profiles. It’s the first thing we set up, because the rest builds on it.
02
An llms.txt "AI profile"
A plain summary written for AI systems: your overview, services, locations, hours, service areas, social profiles, and sitemap, kept up to date as your site changes.
03
Smart robots.txt management
Robots directives let you state a preference for how crawlers treat your site — welcoming the ones that help you appear in search and AI answers, and discouraging the ones that only harvest content. They set preferences, not guarantees, so we keep yours sensible and current.
04
Per-page schema where it helps
Services, articles, products, events, FAQs, and location pages can carry their own structured data, so each page is matched to the right questions. Some pages need a little setup; we will tell you which.
05
Cleaner social previews
Shared links show a proper title, description, and image instead of whatever the network happens to grab.
Straight talk
What it won't do.
Nobody can sell you a miracle here, us included.
- It is not a ranking guarantee. Nobody can promise a position in Google, or that ChatGPT will mention you.
- It does not replace good content, reviews, or a fast site. Those still matter, and we can help with all three.
- It is not a one-off fix. Your details change, so the profile needs keeping current. We send reminders when something looks stale.
- It needs hosting with us, because it runs through the toolkit installed on the sites we look after.
Questions
Reasonable questions.
Ask us anything else; this is a fast-moving area, and it deserves a real explanation, not hand-waving.
What is schema markup?
Structured data: a standard format that states facts about your business in a way search engines and AI systems read directly, rather than guessing from your page text.
Do I need it if I already show up on Google?
It helps in both places. Traditional search still matters, and the same structured facts are what AI assistants rely on when they summarize a business.
Will it put me at number one?
No, and be wary of anyone who says otherwise. It makes your site easier to read correctly, which is the part you can actually control.
How long before anything changes?
Search engines and AI systems re-crawl on their own schedule, so give it weeks rather than days. The structure is in place immediately.
Do I have to host with you?
Yes. It runs through the toolkit we install on the sites we host, alongside your analytics and site tools.
What do you need from me?
A short form of business details: services, locations, hours, contact information, and social profiles. We handle the technical side and keep it current with you.
